Archibald Campbell was born 1480 in Auchinbreck, Argyllshire, Scotland. He died 1546.

He married Margaret Campbell. She was born 1476 in Ardkinglass, Argyllshire, Scotland. She was the daughter of Colin Campbell and Marion Houston.

Their children were:

Duncan Campbell (born 1540 at Castle Swinn, Argyllshire, Scotland)
